My wife and I went through this story two years ago, and to be honest, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I’m from Vedder (a suburb of Chilliwack), and we were also looking for Denturists in Chilliwack, BC when my mother-in-law started having dental problems. We first went to a well-known clinic — I won’t name them, but their ad is right on the main road. They saw us quickly, but it took literally 15 minutes — an impression, a couple of questions, “come back in a week.” They really did make her dentures quickly, but she couldn’t wear them. She complained of pain, her cheek was chafing, and they just stuck out unnaturally. Then we started looking for recommendations. We came across a dentist named David from Cascade Denture Clinic — a small practice on Young Road. He has a completely different approach. The first appointment lasted more than an hour - he didn't just examine her mouth, he literally held a mini-interview: he asked how she eats, what foods she prefers, whether she had any allergies to materials, even which teeth she visually liked. Then he took impressions of the lower and upper jaws, made a trial wax prosthesis - to check the bite and how it looked. Only after two fittings did they begin the final work. The result - she still wears the dentures, no complaints. Adaptation took about three weeks, but David called himself, asked if it was too tight, if anything needed to be filed down. Once we even came ahead of schedule - he said: "I'd rather make a little adjustment now than have you put up with it later." And you know, Marina, this is the case when I realized - a good dentist is not the one who does things quickly, but the one who knows how important it is to be patient and listen to the client.

Wow, what details, thank you! We are also currently considering options for my grandmother, and at first I thought that all denturists in Chilliwack, BC do everything the same, but I see that there is a huge difference in the details. I just printed out your advice, thank you!
