Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s new Squid Game finishing move has definitely been one of the most hyped features in the game. The developers clearly put a lot of thought into it, aiming to blend the popularity of Squid Game with the intense action of Black Ops. However, there’s a critical issue with the execution—literally.
While the idea behind the move is awesome, the bug that’s been reported by many players is frustrating. In some instances, the animation of the finishing move doesn’t trigger, leaving the player vulnerable in the middle of a failed attempt. The victim, instead of dying, just stands there, and the game doesn’t register the takedown. This ruins the impact of what was meant to be a signature moment in the game.
What’s worse is that this bug isn’t a one-off occurrence—it’s been happening to players across all platforms. In an online multiplayer game, issues like this can completely break the pacing of a match, and with the popularity of the move, it’s affecting a lot of players. I’m sure the devs are working on a fix, but in the meantime, is the Squid Game finishing move even worth using?
Has anyone else been disappointed by the buggy implementation of this move? Do you think it’s worth waiting for a patch, or should the feature be removed entirely?
