Don’t get me wrong, the Call of Duty: bo6 bot lobby service and Mission Impossible rumor sounds thrilling — but there are definitely some risks if they move forward with this crossover.

First off, authenticity matters. One of the reasons Black Ops has such a dedicated fan base is the gritty, grounded tone it usually keeps. Even when the series dives into mind-bending stuff (hello, Black Ops Cold War), it still feels rooted in realism. Mission Impossible, on the other hand, often leans into almost cartoonish stunts — like Ethan Hunt dangling off planes or pulling off impossible disguises. That might clash with the serious tone Treyarch is known for.

There’s also the issue of balance. If the devs overstuff the game with too many Hollywood-style gadgets or unrealistic scenarios, hardcore players could feel alienated. People play Black Ops for the tactical combat and psychological thrillers, not necessarily over-the-top action sequences straight from a summer blockbuster.

Another worry is the risk of marketing overshadowing the gameplay. Crossovers are great for hype, but they sometimes feel superficial. If the collaboration is only surface-level — a couple of skins, a few voice lines, and a branded mission — it could come across as cheap rather than exciting.

Personally, I’d love to see it happen but with limits. Maybe a Mission Impossible campaign chapter or special mode rather than fully integrating it into the main game. Keep the core bo6 bot lobby feel, but add just enough Mission Impossible flavor to make it special.

Do you think they can pull off a respectful, authentic collaboration — or will it be too much Hollywood and not enough Black Ops?
